About The Winchester Practice

Dr David Owen, founder of The Natural Practice, opened the Winchester medical practice in 1982. The Winchester practice is the ‘Head Office’ of the group and home to The Natural Practice Dispensary. They provide alternative medicine in a variety of therapies, some natural, to suit the individual. Twelve alternative medical practitioners are based here, seeing patients five days a week in a beautiful converted old flint farmhouse, based in the centre of Winchester, conveniently close to the railway station and main access roads. The Winchester practice is open for Face to Face consultations on Monday-Thursday. Some virutal clinics also run on a Friday.

Parking is available on the practice forecourt but spaces are limited. Please phone ahead and 'book' a space if you have limited mobility. Parking is available in the 2 hour free parking bays on Stockbridge Road or St Paul's Hill or 1 hour alongside the parade of shops on Stockbridge Road. Paid parking is available at the station car park opposite the practice. Parking permits are available also for parking in the local area - please request from reception as your vehicle needs to be registered to issue a permit.

Parking

Forecourt Parking - Limited parking is available at the practice on the practice forecourt and is reserved for less mobile patients or those bringing young children or babies to the practice. When booking your appointment please advise Reception if one of these spaces is required.

Visitor Parking Permits - visitor parking permits are available to borrow from the practice and may be used along Stockbridge Road and the bottom of St. Paul's Hill.

Public Car Parks - For information about all public car parks including parking charges, and methods of payment. The nearest car park is at Winchester Station opposite the practice.

Directions

From M3 North:

Leave the motorway at Jct. 7 signed posted Basingstoke A30. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Winchester Road/A30 signposted Basingstoke A30. Turn left onto A30 signposted Kings Worthy/Micheldever/E Stratton A30/(A33). Continue straight onto A33 signposted Winchester/Kings Worthy A33. Turn right onto London Road/B3047. Continue to follow B3047. Turn right onto Park Road. At the T junction turn left onto Andover Road/B3420. Turn next right onto Bereweeke Road/B3041 signposted Winchester Tennis Club. At the mini roundabout take the 1st exit onto Stockbridge Road/B3049. At the next mini roundabout, take the 1st exit and the practice is immediately on your left, opposite the entrance to Winchester station car park.

From M3 South:

Leave motorway at junction 11, take the A3090 exit to Winchester signposted Winchester (S&W) A3090. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Hockley Link/A3090 signposted St Cross Winchester (B3335) At the next roundabout take the 3rd exit onto St Cross Road/B3335. Continue to follow B3335. At the traffic lights/T junction turn left onto High Street/B3040 signposted All Other Routes. At the mini roundabout take the 3rd exit onto Upper High Street/B3420. Bear left and go over narrow railway bridge. At the mini roundabou immediately ahead, take the 2nd Exit onto St Paul's Hill/B3049. At the next mini roadabout, take the 2nd exit onto Stockbridge Road. The practice is on your left just beyond the roundabout.

From Petersfield/Alton:

Approaching Winchester follow the signs to the A34. As you join the A34 dual-carriageway at the Winnall roundabout, keep in the left-hand lane and leave at the first exit. From this point the directions are the same as from the M3 North/South.

From the A34 North:

Leave the dual-carriageway at the Winchester exit and take the second turning at the mini-roundabout. At the large Three Maids Hill roundabout take the second exit, sign-posted to Winchester. Continue along this route (Andover Road) until you reach a right-hand turning (Bereweeke Road) after about 11/2 miles. Follow this road until you reach the mini roundabout, where you should turn left into Stockbridge Road. Continue until the next mini roundabout, where the practice is situated.

From Romsey:

At the large roundabout at the end of the Hursley Road take the first turning to Winchester. Follow the road straight over two sets of traffic lights, and then turn left at the next roundabout into Chilbolton Avenue. Turn right at the mini roundabout at the end of this road, into Stockbridge Road. At the second mini roundabout take the first exit and the and the practice is situated immediately on the left.
