Christina Edwards

Christina Edwards, Chiropractor (M.Chiro)

Christina holds a Masters in Chiropractic (M.Chiro).

Having started her career in property, the last recession saw a complete change in her circumstances which allowed her the opportunity to return to her first love of babies and all things maternity.

During her studies to become a midwife, she fell pregnant with her third child. Shortly after her birth Christina sustained a back injury doing something seemingly insignificant (turning around to pick up her clothes). The pain was worse than childbirth!

Christina sought the help of a chiropractor for the first time. She was amazing! She gave her hope that she would not be incapacitated forever and over a very short period, she helped reduce her pain and restore her motion. She inspired her to change direction again. Christina and her family relocated to Bournemouth so that she could attend the Anglo European College of Chiropractic where she graduated with a 1st class Master of Chiropractic (MChiro).

Passionate about people, Christina takes great pleasure in helping all who need her. She understand how it feels to have life hampered by debilitating pain. She is grateful that in Chiropractic, she has acquired the understanding and hands-on skills to relieve discomfort and, with postural and exercise advice, prevent the problem from returning.

Christina's passion for paediatrics has not diminished. As the lead intern in the renowned New-born Feeding Clinic at the AECC, she had two papers published on the benefits and contribution of chiropractic care on infants struggling to breastfeed. (Click here to read her paper Treating Infants for Suboptimal Breastfeeding published in the Journal of Clinical Chiropractice Pediatrics). She is looking forward to commencing further post-graduate studies in this area.

As a champion of natural remedies, Christina is also qualified to produce natural skin and hair care products which she does in her spare time. She trained as a birthing Doula and is also a natural Afro- Caribbean hair consultant. In her downtime, she goings long walks with her husband and three children in the New Forest and along the coast.
