Sports Massage

Sports Massage is a deep tissue massage, which is suitable for sports and non-sports people. Advanced techniques are used to help break down scar tissue, help realign muscle fibres, increase flexibility and suppleness of the muscles for improved join mobility. The therapy targets specific muscle groups and works on superficial and deep muscle tissue.

Long standing neck and back pain, repetitive strain injury, tendonitis and postural related issues all respond well to sports massage. Sports massage can also help improve overall sporting performance or activity.

Aromatherapy is the use of essential plant oils for massage. It is suitable for anyone who would enjoy light to moderate pressure. Techniques include lymphatic drainage and trigger point movements. Essential oils have many different medical properties and are effective as an anti-inflammatory, a sedative, an analgesic, and anti spasmodic and anti depressant depending on the chemical compound of the oil. A blend of up to three chosen essential oils is prepared during each session then massaged into the face or body.

The therapy is beneficial to a variety of conditions including insomnia, stress & anxiety, tiredness, headaches, arthritic pain, general muscular aches and pains and some skin conditions. Aromatherapy can also help to maintain a healthy immune system.
