The Benefits of Essential Oils in Massage Therapy

Some essential oils are used because of their analgesic, anti-inflammatory and anti-spasmodic properties whilst other oils reduce stress and tension, promoting relaxation and a general sense of well-being.

Pat has developed her own blend of essential oils in a Sports Massage Oil which she uses in her sessions to help aid the recovery of muscles from sporting aches and pains as well as postural imbalances to tension and stress related tightness in the neck and shoulders.  This is available to purchase from the practice to use at home before exercise to warm your muscles before you begin and after exercise to aid muscle recovery by aiding circulation and reducing the build up of excess lactic acid.

Pat has also developed her own brand of Muscle and Joint Ease Balm which she recommends to help ease pain and inflammation when required.  It contains only natural ingredients, has a delightful aroma and is very gentle on the skin.  It has proved to be very popular with her patients.

Pat Maguire will be available at the Open Evening on 29th November to answer any questions you may have about Massage Therapy and what treatment may be best suited to you.  Her range of Maguireā€™s oils and balms will be available for you to try and to purchase for yourself or as an excellent Christmas gift.
