Constant evolution at the Natural Practice

As usual there are lots of exciting new developments at The Natural Practice. In a fast changing world we are keen to embrace new challenges and evolve but without losing sight of our aim to put you, the patient, at the centre of your health journey and to help you take a holistic view of your health needs - to give you the knowledge, skills and resources to improve your health.

I have been reflecting upon my 15 years with The Natural Practice and my own journey with the challenge of continuing to deliver NHS care on a weekly basis while being firmly committed to The Natural Practice ethos. As many of you will know, I am now working with The Natural Practice more days a week than previously, whilst still maintaining at least a weekly commitment to NHS general practice or out of hours work. I feel this keeps me up to date with developments whilst maintaining my sanity and love of my day to day patient contacts.

The NHS is changing rapidly and inevitably some loss of the personal and holistic perspective occurs. Whilst this is frustrating, it is needs driven but there is also more willingness amongst my colleagues to consider the whole person and their symptoms, especially as we deal with illnesses without known cause or where gut health and nutritional elements together with emotional and psychological factors are key.

I know that being able to incorporate homeopathy, acupuncture and nutritional treatments into my work enhances the therapeutic options available and working closely with my colleagues at The Natural Practice enables us to devise the best treatment plans for our patients.
