Tinnitus

Tinnitus is often described as "ringing in the ear", however several sounds can also be heard including bussing, whistling, hissing and humming.  There are many causes of Tinnitus.  Those we know can contribute to and include a build up of earwax, a middle ear infection, a problem with the inner ear or even a blow to the head.  In many cases there is no clear cause.

Some people find their Tinnitus is worse when they are worried, stressed or anxious and it is in cases like this that a holistic approach can help.  Techniques that can help include homeopathy, acupuncture and reflexology.  Although these approaches rarely completely cure the condition, we have found that many of the patients we have treated have reported that they became less aware of the sound after only one or two treatment sessions and that further treatments can give long episodes of remission.

Reflexology aims to relax and de-stress the body whilst homeopathy and acupuncture have specific treatments for Tinnitus and also help by working with the patient's general constitution.
