What is a Holistic Doctor?

A holistic general practitioner is one who integrates conventional and alternative therapies to treat a patient on all levels.  By treating the whole patient rather than only an individual body system, the doctor can heal all aspects of the disease, not just the symptoms.

The doctor and patient work together to find solutions and remedies targeted to that individual person.  The patient's views and concerns are taken into consideration, and any treatment is agreed upon by both parties.

All aspects of disease and treatment are considered.  It's the doctor's responsibility to educate the patient on the disease, cause and any treatment that is suggested.

Holistic doctors focus on the cause of disease rather than the symptoms.  They regard the illness as the tip of the iceberg; the root causes of that illness lie beneath the surface.  It is the role of the holistic doctor to find the root cause by specialised testing and help to eradicate it.  Only in this way can an illness be completely cured.  Treatments with which Dr Willis has had many years of experience include dietary manipulation, nutritional supplements, bio-identical hormone therapy and detoxification in addition to conventional therapies if necessary.
