Dr Bernard Willis - Physician (Holistic Medicine)

The Natural Practice

Dr Bernard Willis MBChB MRCGP D.Ost.RCOG

After qualifying as a doctor, Dr Bernard Willis completed his hospital training before moving to Australia to work as a private GP gaining membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners.  After 3 years he returned to the UK to work as a partner in a general practice.  In 1982 he became the senior GP at The Harrow Health Care Centre, the first private primary care centre in England.  In 1991 he and his wife moved to Spain to establish a practice offering a holistic approach to patients.  He also spent 5 years running a busy integrative medicine clinic in Auckland, New Zealand.

When he became ill with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome brought on by a viral infection, he researched this and found treatment using holistic approaches was curative.  This started his enquiry into and developed his passion for nutritional, natural hormone and herbal treatment as effective treatments for chronic disease.  He realised that these natural approaches meant he could treat patients often without pharmaceutical drugs and their frequent side effects.  He has completed a number of courses on integrative and holistic medicine and practiced it widely.

The treatment approaches he offers include nutrition and dietary therapy, herbal treatments, bio-identical hormone replacement therapy and deeper nutritional therapy for chronic diseases such as CFS, adrenal fatigue, thyroid disorders, male and female menopause and cancer.

On his return to the UK, he joined The Natural Practice as a place where his experience and expertise could reach patients in a professional setting and his approach could be inegrated with other complementary medical professionals and holistic practitioners.
